Happy 10th Birthday Kaleb!

4-20
I don't know how, but this ball of fire turned 10 today! He is still as ornery as ever and will be the reason for every gray hair I will ever have, but he'll still snuggle with me so I forgive him.  He started the day out kinda sad because he was missing his dad but it turned around when some neighbors joined us for cupcakes. He's been saying he wants to race BMX and wanted a bike for his birthday. This kid and bicycles!
He thanked me multiple times for it, which was good for me cause half the time I feel like I'm raising little A holes 🤣🤣 We love him so much and I'm so glad he was the completion to our family!
Happy Birthday Kaleb!
He is still so goofy! I love it!
This is from a Facebook post I made.  These pics always make me cry and laugh.

When your mom thinks you're too young to understand that you have a baby brother coming so she doesn't tell you. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Happy Birthday Kaleb, I'm so glad he tolerates you now!
Since we didn't have a party I told him he could invite a few friends to Dave and Busters for lunch and games.  He invited Kenny, Kyri, and Jack.  This was one of our first outings around here since things started opening up.  It was nice to get out and have fun, even if you had to wear a mask!

March & April 2021

Josh was supposed to deploy the last week of February but it got pushed a month!  We were able to take another trip to the cabin.
Kaleb and Kenny are growing up so fast!
The boys think it's so funny to go lay in the snow then jump in the hot tub.  Lol
A few months ago my childhood best friend sent me this picture from etsy and asked if i could make it.  She's pregnant with her first baby, after years and years of trying,  so i got to work!
Usually, I rush things but I wanted this to be good so I took my time! I even made the bias binding and attached it by hand!
My fingers were so sore from all the prices from the needle! 😂
It turned out awesome!
I also made the two canvases hanging over the bed

Her baby is due in April so the boys and I took a quick trip to WV while Josh was in Richmond doing his last bit of training before he leaves. Iguess that's one positive thing about this year of school being online, we can travel and just bring the computers!
This was the first time we got to meet Gino's baby Danni Shea! She is the sweetest baby!
Jack thought this was hilarious! Haha
Kaleb learned some welding with uncle Mello!
Barrett being a good boy at mamaw's!
Greg took Jack for a ride in the truck he's been watching him build for a few years.  He kept telling me how they went over 100 mph on the strait road.  Lol It was a quick visit but fun!
After we got back we only had 1 week with Josh before he had to go to Iraq.  He decided he wants to learn to kite surf so he bought some trainer kites and we went to Occoquan Park and flew them.  It was harder than he thought to get them up, but he got it then had the boys try.  Kaleb is so light it picked him up of the ground and slammed him! 🥺

We took our last family boat ride today on our first boat.  The guy who bought it in Jan came and picked it up today.  Although I was so glad it sold so fadt it was a bittersweet day.  On to finding the next one :)
Josh and Jack after church. Jack is getting so tall!

Kaleb asked me today if we were still going to have a big Easter dinner since his daddy is deployed, this qualifies, right? 🤣🤣
We had a good Easter.  Josh has always wanted to hide the boys' baskets and make them hunt for them but I've always put it off.  Since they are a little older now I thought it would be fun! This was on the table with a note from the Easter bunny telling them to hunt.  He also hid eggs around the house with money in them!
Jack's was in the washer
Kaleb's was in the oven.
We also colored eggs and made these cute bunnies!
Barrett even helped hunt eggs!
I always thought I was good at math, but I was proved wrong! Well, at the "new" kind of math anyway.  The other day I asked Kaleb to show a friend of ours how to do multiplication the way they teach in school now, and he was lost.  I was surprised since he's been getting good grades in math so I called Miss Booth and told her I didn't think he understood multiplying double digits and her was reply was,  "Yeah, I don't think he understands fractions either." I asked her if that was the case why he was still in the advanced math program doing 5th grade math when he didn't understand 4th grade things.  She said,  "It's a special year, and they would get them all caught up next year." She then emailed me this example of how to do the multiplication.
I love our yard in the spring!
