Our Halloween party is tomorrow night at church so I decided to get creative and make cupcakes! I have never made them before but Josh says they are really good. I think they turned out so cute. I'm so excited now that I have my kitchen and all my stuff! After I was done decorating the cupcakes I was washing dishes and sliced my thumb. It hurt so bad! Josh said I turned green! Sorry, I don't have pics of that. lololol

Pumpkin Fest!
Today we went to Ludweigsburg to a castle and the pumpkin fest. It was so much fun. I had never in my life seen pumpkins that big! It was amazing at the stuff they did with all the different size pumpkins and gourds. The theme this year as you probably figured out was outer space. They also had a table set up with different types of pumpkins for you to try. I tried a couple of them, which is huge for me cause I don't like trying new things! We also had a bowl of pumpkin soup. I didn't really want to try it but everyone at work kept telling me it was really good. They were right it was great!!!!! After the fest we went to Rapunzal's castle and she let down her hair :) It was so cute there was this little girl outside with us and she kept screaming "Rapunzal, Rapunzal" The castle gardens were amazing.

My new job!
I started my new job this week! I really enjoy it. I am a teachers aid for the special needs classroom. I am the aid of a little girl with down syndrome. She is so sweet. Her name is Sydnee and she is in the 4th grade. The thought that her education is in my hands scares the crap out of me but I'm doing okay so far. I thought when they hired me as an aid that meant I would help out in the classroom but actually Sydnee is independent enough that she can go to her actual fourth grade class and do work and not just stay in the special needs room. Obviously she can't do fourth grade work, she is on, about, a second grade level so I have to modify what her class is doing and make up work for her. Scary!!!!!!! There is only one special needs teacher and about 8 kids so she can't spend a lot of time with each of them. When Sydnee is at gym or art or music I go and help in the special needs classroom. I really enjoy it but it breaks my heart too. All the kids are so sweet but they are either autistic or mentally retarded so there really isn't any hope. Today I was helping one of the autistic little girls with her colors and she jumped and smiled really big and hugged me and gave me a kiss on my shoulder. It was so sweet. But then there are times like yesterday when one of the little girls sneezed and got snot on me and I was gagging the whole time I cleaned her and myself up!!!!! I wasn't happy about that. I have a really weak stomach and that just didn't cut it. I will make sure not to be the only teacher in the classroom from now on!
Our household goods are finally here and will be delivered on Tuesday!!!!! I am so excited. Josh is leaving me again in November to come back to the states to do some training! This military wife business is lonely!!!!! I will put more pics of the house on here after our stuff gets here.

Thanking God!
Today I went to my first FRG meeting. For those of you who don't know FRG is family readiness group. Basically a support group for military wives. Anyway four of the six wives in our company said goodbye to their husbands today. I know that marring a military man, means he is gone a lot, but I'm just so thankful that Josh's team isn't leaving right now. I'm sure he is going to kill me when he reads this cause he is anxious to get over there and serve his country but I am really thanking God tonight. It was a good meeting and the girls are nice but it's hard to ignore the red puffy eyes from crying. I felt like crap cause yesterday I was whining to myself cause I'm alone for a week! lolol I'm officially in the apartment. It is still empty just me, the suitcases, and a air mattress! We are getting temp furniture on Thursday so that will be nice. I went to the lending closet today and got the welcome package with pots and pans, plates, glasses, forks, etc.... so I am going to the store tomorrow and I will be cooking my first meal tomorrow!!!! yes I will be eating it on the floor but at least it will be something I want!!!!! I can't complain to bad though cause now that we know a little German, well enough to get by in a restaurant, we can go to real restaurants and get good food, not just subway!!!!! :)

My Name
What Natalie Means |
![]() You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts. You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals. You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection. You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive. You have the classic “Type A” personality. You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life. You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home. You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble. You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow. You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily. Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is. You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing. You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long. You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start. You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. |

We are moving!!!!
We finally got the approval from housing for our apartment! We are signing the lease today or tomorrow and moving in on Monday!! I am sooo excited. We have been in the hotel 29 days today and even though I love hotels I am ready to cook my own dinner. The army is loaning us a bed, table, and a couch until our furniture gets here. My car should be here on the 19th... yay...
Even though I love driving our new car!!!! Our phone should be turned on in the apartment next week and I have unlimited calls to the states! Josh is leaving for a week for training so I will be alone, so be looking forward to my calls....lolololol I will put pictures on here as soon as I have them! I realized that I've never put pics on here of our hotel room. Josh and I have only been married 4 months and we are living like married people from the 1940's lololol. I can't wait to get our bed!

Oktober Fest!!!!
Today we decided to try the public transportation system. We wanted to go to Oktober Fest in Stuttgart so I planned our trip on the train station website and we headed for the train.
This is where thousands of drunken Germans were supposed to be. Obviously I got the trains wrong!!!
So we found someone who spoke a little English and told him we were looking for the Fest and he laughed at us and told us what trains we needed to take to get there. We got back on the train and tried it again!!!
We found it!!!!!! It was like a big carnival. We didn't really fit in cause Josh left his lederhosen at home. lololol
Yep that is one big Cookie!!!!!!
Then we found ourselves in the Beer Tent!!! All I can say is the Germans know how to have fun!!! They were dancing on the tables and singing and just having a good ol time. I couldn't believe how big the glasses of beer were!
After a fun day at Oktober Fest we got back on the train and came home. We didn't take a wrong train this time. lolol
