As I look back over 2013 on this new year's eve All I can think of is hard. I had my hysterectomy in April, which was the best decision ever, but a very hard recovery. Then Josh moved to VA which has been the hardest thing we have ever been through. As the boys get older it gets harder and harder to have our family separated. The boys are doing a lot better with it now but I think it's because Josh was home for Thanksgiving and Christmas but now he won't be back until end of June so I hope these next six month they behave themselves.

One thing that was awesome this year was having Carrie and Tyson live in Wyoming. We went up there three times and they came down here once and it was so nice to get to see family more than once a year.

Jack is growing up so fast. He is starting to lose his baby weight and it makes him look more and more like a little, big, boy and it breaks my heart because it is all happening way to fast. He is super smart. His preschool teacher brags on him all the time. He has been able to write his name for a few months now and can count to 30 with no problem whatsoever. Kaleb is, of course, our little turd. He is so funny and brings so much joy to this house. Lately he has gotten so much pleasure torturing Jack. Anything Jack says Kaleb will say nu huh, then the uh huh, nu huh war starts lol He will just laugh and have this little smirk on his face as Jack gets mad. He is still attached to his binky and blanket which I'm very ashamed that I let that happen after him not having a binky for a year and half but oh well, what can you do. His speech has come so far in the last few months. He is talking in full sentences now and making most of the sounds correctly. Another think he is doing right now that I think is so cute is when he burps, coughs, farts, or sneezes he says "excuse you" he is so serious and just goes on about his business. I try to teach him to say excuse me but it's just not catching on :)

I'm very excited for 2014. We should be moving to VA this summer which is exciting but sad at the same time since I will be leaving my military family her in CO. My mom will stay here with me until we move which I am very thankful for. I couldn't' do this separation without her. She is such a big help with the boys and great company for me. Most of all I'm Thankful to my Heavenly Father for all our blessings and allowing our family to live another year on this earth.

Sant Express 12-27-13

The boys are absolutely train crazy this year! They also saw the movie Polar Express and love it. We have watched it three to four times a day for the last two weeks.  Jack kept saying "I wish we could go to the north pole on the polar express." So when I found out about the Santa Express down in Canon City we had to go.  We were going to go before Christmas but Josh wanted to go with us so we went yesterday and told Santa thank you for everything he brought us.  It was a great experience with the boys and I'm so glad my mom joined us.

Jack was being grumpy and didn't want to take a picture with MaMaw
then we told him if he didn't smile we wouldn't go to the north pole. That fixed him LOL
Waiting to get on the train

Kaleb loves his dad so much.

Merry Christmas 2013

I love to see the amazement in there eyes when they come downstairs and see that Santa came.

Thanks Mimi!
Thanks Uncle Mello for our helicopters
Thanks Uncle Gino for our monster trucks
Thanks MaMaw Kathy for our Thomas blocks
Thanks Grandma Sandy for our matching pi's we look so cute in them :)
We have spent the past four Christmases with the Cunningham family at our house. I always cook a big dinner and they always spoil our kids! I wanted to kill Cindy this year though because she both them a keyboard and a drum set! Dan was Josh's first team sgt. in Germany and we have been close ever since. We love these guys and know if we ever needed anything they would be there for us.

Happy Birthday Mom! We are so glad you got to spend it with us this year :)

I sure hope Santa sends his elves to clean this mess up :)

Christmas Eve 2013

Our Countdown is complete!! Lets go get Daddy!
For the last four years we have spent Christmas Eve with at the Lewis home. We have a big dinner and just enjoy each other company. We love the Lewis family!

Sam was my very first friend in Germany. She lived right across the hall from us so we were together all the time. It was through her I met Annie, Mar, and Kristen. When we first met Madison was 18mo old. It's hard to believe we have added the rest of these guys since then.

Getting the cookies ready for Santa!
Santa Came!
 Santa left this for Kaleb
And this for Jack. He has been asking for this since summer :)
I guess they were pretty good this year because they racked up.
