Happy New Year!!!!!!

Apparently New Years in Germany is bigger than our 4th of July. We had been hearing fire crackers all day but about 10 till midnight we started hearing a lot of them so we decided to go out on our porch and look and this is what was going on. This is our neighbors letting off fireworks. The whole village was doing it. It was so beautiful and the best part was I didn't even have to get out of my pj's to see it! I hope you all are having a wonderful and safe new year! We miss you!!!!!!!

videos from paris

Paris

Our trip was amazing! We had so much fun and took so many pictures. I tried to pick the best to put on here and I apologize for how long this post is. We waited in line for an hour and a half to go up the Eiffel Tower but it was so worth it. I'm glad Josh forced me cause I didn't want to wait! The city is so beautiful. It's cool to look at all the buildings and know they were built hundreds of years ago. The louvre was awesome too. All the paintings were beautiful. I was so happy that the Christmas lights were still up in the city. I hope you enjoy the pics!

Dachau Concentration Camp

Today we went down to Munich to the Dachau Concentration Camp. It was an amazing experience. I can't even begin to imagine what those people went through. The memorial site is so creepy. There is a certain silence there that just lets you know something bad happened. I'm not good enough with words to even try to describe how this place made me feel so I will just let the pictures do the talking.

The gate going in to the camp says Work Brings Freedom

This is the prison building

These are some of the items in the museum

This is a picture taken from a U.S. airplane of the Jews welcoming the U.S. troops!

This is a model of Dachau and a plate from the camp that they served food in

After the bodies were burned they put all the ashes here and named it the grave of the thousands unknown
