Potty Training Jack :)

We told Jack that when he turned three he had to start using the potty but since we were traveling and Josh was gone I kept putting it off. Well I had a Dr. appointment on Thursday Morning, November 29, and Josh kept the kids. When I got home he was leaving for work and said oh yeah Jack has been in underwear all morning.  I was so mad at first because I hadn't mentally prepared myself for this but he was right I would have kept putting it off and finding another excuse to wait. That morning was ROUGH. I set a timer and had him sit on the potty every 10 min and he never went then he would go as soon as he got in the living room. He hated being wet so that was good but we only had 5 pair of underwear so I had to do a lot of laundry that day. I had Josh stop and get another pack on his way home from work. Finally about 3pm he was sitting on the potty and he saw himself pee and the look on his face was priceless. I don't think he even knew what peeing was until that moment. He then went pee on the potty the rest of the day and got candy as a reward. We put him in a diaper for bed though. The next day was so good. He used the potty every time and we even went to costco and sportsman's warehouse and he didn't have any accidents. When we got home Kristen wanted us to come out so we did and he was playing with her kids and peed himself but I take blame for that because it was way to soon to have him go play. Sat went good, no accidents then Sunday he went all three hrs of church and didn't pee himself. We were so proud and we kept telling him that and he loved it. He would come up to me randomly and say "you so proud of me mom?" with a big smile on his face. The only problem we were having was getting him back into underwear in the morning and getting the diaper on him at night so we decided to just leave him in underwear and he has done so good. He hasn't wet the bed once in a week. Pooping is another story though. He would still go hide and we would have to grab him and run him to the potty but he refused to do it himself Well tonight he went poop on the potty by himself and was so happy. Josh took him and told him how proud he was of him and Jack just ran around singing "Daddy's so proud of me, Daddy's so proud of me" It was soooo cute. I will admit I was DREADING potty training but it has been really smooth. What can I say Jack is a great kid :)

Christmas Fun

My friend Kristen decorated her dead tree in her front yard and told me I should do mine..soooooo While we were at dinner at her house Saturday Josh stole all her ornaments and put them on our tree. It took her all day to figure it out.
Kristen also was telling me that she wished she had a bigger Christmas tree since hers was small cause they always lived on post before. We actually had an extra one in the basement from NC so we decided to take her ornaments back and leave this on her door step. LOL  They haven't retaliated yet but I'm sure it's coming.

Christmas Cookies

Saturday we baked Christmas cookies and had so much fun. I love that the boys are getting older and enjoying family activities.

Kaleb loved the cookie dough

Christmas Time

This was the first year Jack helped us decorate for Christmas cause before he was just to little. He loved that he got to put the star on the tree. He is still talking about it two weeks later :)

Kaleb even helped decorate a little bit

We also got a Christmas Elf this year. It took a few days for Jack to decide to name him then he wanted to name him Elmo but I wouldn't do it haha He then said we could name him Willie.

                                                Watching Santa Paws

I was so excited that we were in Idaho for Thanksgiving because that meant we got to go to Rupert and see Santa turn on the Christmas lights.

We also went back to Idaho as a family for Thanksgiving. We went shooting one evening and when it started getting cold we put the boys in the truck and after an hour more of shooting I looked in the truck and they were having a ball. Kaleb was driving and Jack was getting all hyped up on Mt. Dew haha

Preschool Halloween Party

Jack loved helping mom decorate the cupcakes for his party

Since he doesn't want to dress up this year I dressed him up without him realizing it because he loves wearing his construction hat.

                                                        Story time with Miss Tammi

Jack's favorite part of the party was popping the pumpkin
They all thought it was so funny when someone would pop a balloon haha
