We went to Idaho for 2 weeks to celebrate Thanksgiving since Josh was about to deploy. The trip got off to a rough start because our plane at Reagan airport was broke and the replacement wasn't going to get there until way later so we would have missed our connection in TX so they put us in a cab and sent us to IAD which was fine except we were rushing to get on the plane and we had originally planned to eat breakfast at the airport but with this change we barely made our flight so we were all starving and the new flight took us from DC to San Francisco which was a 6 hr flight. We had no choice but to buy food on the plane and of course they didn't have any real food that the kids would eat so we spent $7 on a bag of chexmix and $7 dollars on a small can of pringles! Once we were on the plane though and on our way everything was good.
One of the kids favorite things about grandma's is that they get to spend time with their cousins!
We got to finally meet baby Dutch! he is so cute!!
They also love having grandma read to them
The day after Thanksgiving was Randy and Sandy's 50th wedding anniversary so we planned a surprise party for them. They really had no idea and it was a great night! The Bishop had called them in for a meeting to get them to the church so we could surprise them. This is all the family waiting for them to come out.
We even went to a couple Minico girls basketball games to watch one of Josh's cousins daughters play. Jack was really excited because I had just signed him up to play this upcoming season.
Kaleb enjoyed watching other things LOL
It didn't snow in Paul but we saw some up on the mountain so we decided to drive up there and see if we could play. There wasn't a lot but the kids still had fun. The ski slopes hadn't opened for the season yet so the kids got to sled there a little.
Darby got her drivers permit while we were there so we took her out on her first drive with it :)
Of course the trip went way too fast but we had a blast. Grandma and Grandpa drove us to the airport which gave Grandma a chance to read a few more stories to the boys.
When we were getting off the plane in Chicago Jack got a chance to go in the cockpit and check things out and meet the pilot!
