Last week at our new parent support group the leader wanted the kids to color on a poster board for her to hang up in her office. Jack was really the only kid that got into it. He loves to write and I think he is left handed like me cause every time he reaches for something that writes it is with his left hand :)
The subject for the meeting that day was age appropriate toys and the importance of girls playing with blocks and boys playing with dolls. At first I was like whatever but the more she talked and the more I read about it I think they may have a point. I was reading that if you are having a baby and your child is still really young you should play with a baby doll and get them used to you holding a baby and that you should teach them to be easy with the baby and teach them to love the baby haha So yesterday I went next door and borrowed one of Madison's baby dolls and I held it a little yesterday and at first Jack would look at me like what are you doing mom?? LOL But then I kissed the dolls head and then told him to give the baby a kiss and he did it. He doesn't play with it on his own but if I say "Jack, where's the baby? Go kiss the baby" he will do it. It's so sweet!
Some of my friends are really big into signing with their kids but I've never really gotten into it. Every once in a while I will sign more or eat to Jack but not very often but the other day at lunch time I said to Jack "Are you ready to eat" and he signed eat! I was like wow!! Then I tried more so now anytime he signs eat it is followed by more haha I don't know if he really knows what he is doing for if he just thinks it's funny. Anyway the last video is of him signing. This first video cracks me up cause he has been running through the house lately yelling bye and then he heads for the door. It is a lot funnier when the camera isn't on because he is such a poser when he sees the camera he just wants to smile at it so i didn't get him doing it the way he usually does but it's still cute.

Dear Baby Boy #2
That is my bladder you keep kicking and I don't like having to go to the bathroom every two minutes. I would really appreciate it if you would stop!
Thanks!
Love Mommy

We will miss you Daddy!
My heart is breaking tonight especially for my little boy because he had no idea when his daddy put him to bed tonight that he wouldn't see him again for a while. I used to think I was strong and I have always been tough when it comes to Josh leaving but seeing they way Jack looks at him and how he lights up everyday when Josh comes home and how he loves when his daddy throws him up in the air and plays with him it makes this time so much harder. I just really hope these next few months go by fast and that Josh is able to come home for the birth of our next baby. I've never been one to ask for prayers but please send some my way cause I really need them. Man this is hard.

My baby is growing up so fast
I am totally not ready for Jack to be so independent. I know I am one of those mothers who want to keep him a baby forever but come on he is only 14 months old he IS still a baby! A couple of weeks ago I had to take his bottle away, yes I said HAD, because he started unscrewing the lid and dumping it on himself and I got tired of bathing him 3 times a day. Then last Sunday we were in church and he was getting fussy so I gave him his bink and he threw it and hasn't used one since! I know I should be really happy that he is breaking himself from these things but I'm not!! haha The only thing I had left was watching him learn to walk and still feeling like he is a baby cause he crawls. Monday he was stumbling all around this place and still crawling back to furniture to help pull himself back up then Tuesday I noticed he really didn't do that to much that day and he was standing up all by himself in the middle of the floor then Wednesday he comes walking steadily out of his room with a John Deere tractor in one hand and a toy juke box in the other and he has barely crawled since!! I HAD NO IDEA WALKING COULD PROGRESS SO FAST! Now he walks around drinking out of his sippy cup with no bink and It breaks my heart! He looks like a little boy and not mommy's baby anymore.
Jack doesn't say NO but when I tell or ask him to do something he doesn't want to do he growls at me. I have to turn my head before I smile cause I think it is hilarious!
The other day it got up in the 50's so we took Jack for a nice long walk hoping it would wear him out. Josh let him out of the stroller and of course he wanted to push it so we let him push it almost the whole walk. At one point he got down on his knees and scooting and I was telling him to stand up and Josh said don't worry he will in like a foot cause the gravel gets thicker. Well, Jack pushed that stroller on his knees through the whole gravel pit. Haha. I don't know if you can see it but those are his knee prints behind the stroller
We stopped at one of the many playgrounds in our village and let Jack go down the slide a few times. This was his first time on a slide. He LOVED it :)

Happy Birthday to Mommy!
I know I'm a week late on this but hey better late than never :) I turned 28 last Saturday and I have to admit I've kinda been dreading it cause I only have 2 more years until I'm 30!! I remember when I was 16 I was telling a story about this old lady and something she did and my cousin Kelly asked me how old she was and i was like i don't know i think 30. That day Kelly told 30 wasn't old and I was going to wake up tomorrow and be 30. Needless to say her words play back in my mind all the time and she reminded me last month that I will be 30 in less than a thousand days!!!! Yikes, that is a scary though! Anyway, my birthday really started Friday night when Josh kept Jack and Annie, Marian, and Cheryl took me to my favorite german restaurant and spoiled me with all kinds of wonderful gifts. Then Saturday morning Josh got up with Jack and let me sleep in and when I woke up he had waffles waiting for me. I had gotten a package in the mail from Carrie a week before with a wrapped present in it and I was really good and didn't open it until after breakfast and it was this really awesome hair wrap to keep your hair out of your eyes while you was your face. Well, let me tell ya, it works for a lot more than that. I use it while I put in my contacts and I have found myself wearing it has a headband when my hair is on my nerves LOL. Josh wants me to wear it while I cook cause he is tired of finding my hair in his food all the time!
Later that night Annie and Drew came over and watched Jack so Josh and I could go have a nice quiet dinner. It was so nice to just be by ourselves haha
Annie knows I don't really like cake so she made me the best cake ever! I really do have great friends.
