My Baby Is Growing Up

Jack went back to school and when I looked at the pic from last year with this years It made me so sad. He is getting so big and smart. I'm so proud of my baby.

Jack was helping me fix his egg the other day and seeing him standing there I remembered taking this picture in Germany. Man time goes so fast.

                                                                            2013

We have been having really bad thunder and lightening storms here and Kaleb is at the age where Jack started freaking out over them so I was nervous for our first one but he just ran and got his gun and started saying "shoot lightening, shoot lightening" LOL
Now that Josh is gone we are doing anything possible to pass time so I put the boys in this program called soccer buddies. Well this was Kaleb the first week.  Jack did awesome but I was so busy with Kaleb that I didn't get any pictures.
The second week he wouldn't go on the field at first when I was trying to make him but half way through he asked me to go to class and he did great.  I guess Josh is right, Kaleb just has to do things on his own terms.

Back to West Virginia

Ok so I'm not one to make fun of West Virginia but come on even I couldn't resist this one. These people opened this drive through cigarette shop and misspelled Tobacco LOL that's right folks, we have the TABACCO Shack in logan.
                                                           Yeah, that's how he rolls
And of course you can't have a vacation without a trip to the ER. Luckily it wasn't for broken bones or anything just for what we thought was pink eye but ended up being allergies.
After an amazing summer full of fun and adventure we took our two day trip back to Colorado. I guess  Kaleb and Mom were board.

O

Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum

We did have some fun too in VA and all the Smithsonian stuff is free so we went to the DC zoo but I forgot my camera that day so this is the only one we have pics of.  This place was really cool and the boys loved all the airplanes. There was even an exhibit where they could get in one and they told them what buttons did what and taught them how to fly it.

Our Time in VA

Most of the time spent in VA was checking out different areas to see where we might want to live. It's going to be a hard move but I know we will end up right where we are supposed to be.  I had to put these pics up here because we were at dinner one night and Kaleb was just climbing and Josh and I was just laughing at him and I looked at Jack and he had this look on his face like "If I would do that I would get a spankin" LOL he is right too. Oh that second child

We got these wooden figures at the retreat and the boys enjoyed building with their dad so much

                                                        Washington DC Temple

These silly boys love walking around in daddy's shoes :)
This is Kaleb's new thing. When we spank our kids we always put them in a chair until they stop crying and if they get down they get another spanking. Well, this little jar of spice gets to where his butt is barely on the chair and cries cause he knows we won't spank him again unless he actually gets off.

The National Harbor

One of the many things I love about the Army is how much they focus on families. Before Josh's class started his new corse they sent us on another marriage retreat to the National Harbor. It was so nice and we enjoyed our weekend so much.  They always provide childcare but this time we got so much more free time with each other.
This was our room. I have never been to a place where the hotel was inside another building.  It was crazy.  Needless to say there wasn't much privacy on our balcony suite.

More West Virginia Fun

Josh thought he was hilarious shaving his face like this to go to the freedom festival. He said he has been trained to blend in to his environment and this is what he had to do to fit in Logan. LOL
I know this is going to sound funny to some of you but at home we put Parmesan cheese on our popcorn. Well, lets just say Jack was a big fan HaHa

My boys loved running the excavator with uncle Mello.  Jack spend a few hours a day for about three days in there with Mello while he was tearing down my grandma Artie's house
