Deals Deals Deals!!!

Thursday night Kristen called me and told me about this store up in the Springs called Garden Ridge and said they had their Christmas stuff 90% off!! I figured it would all be gone by the time I got up there yesterday but I was wrong cause I spent an hour and a half in that store shopping. Josh and I had already said wherever we live next Christmas we are going to decorate more and make the outside look awesome. So when I heard about this sale I had to go. I got outdoor LCD lights, four things of 25ft pre lit garland, garland with pinecones and glitter, ornaments, little pre lit trees for the outside, gift boxes, yard decoration and all kinds of other stuff. I even got a 6 1/2 ft Christmas tree because I noticed in  the pictures online of homes in VA most of them have finished basements so I needed a tree for that haha If something happens and we don't move I'll just put it in my dining room, that's what those green and blue ornaments are for :) I had a blast and when I checked out all this was only $51 and some change. That means I got $500 worth of stuff.  I was even more excited when he asked if I was military cause I got an extra 10% off.

Happy Birthday to Me……Again!!!

What can I say, I'm a pretty lucky girl with some Great friends!! You know I always heard of people saying how great their church family was but I never really understood it until this ward. I have met some amazing people and really do feel like a part of a family. Four of the very special people are Shannon Kelepolo, Tabbi Huzzey, and Tami Gabbitas. I hit it off with these girls as soon as I moved into the ward which never happens for me.  Last Tuesday we went to dinner for my birthday and the spoiled me with even more gifts. Tabbi gave me these awesome bread mixes that she got in Idaho and Shannon and Tammi gave me this book and a Khol's gift card :) I can't wait to go buy some kitchen gadgets and make my bread!! I can't believe I forgot to get a picture of us at dinner but I will make sure to get one at the next dinner and put it on here. I'm so thankful to have these ladies in my life and they sure make going to church easier LOL

Birthday Dinner with the Girls!!

Last night the girls took me to Amanda's Fonda, a delicious mexican place, for my birthday dinner. It was so delicious and we all had a great time. Apparently we outstayed our welcome cause when we were leaving, 3 and a half hours later, the waitress said "come back when you can stay longer" LOL how rude!!! I think next time we will go and ask to sit in her section and stay 6 hrs :) Of course before we toasted my birthday Mar had to give this big speech about it possible being my last birthday celebration with them and made everyone cry! I can't even imagine finding friends as good as these girls when I move. I know I say it all the time but I don't know what I'm going to do without them.

Of course the spoiled me, again! I love the frame Sam made me and I had to fight the tears back when I opened it. Annie got me the Rachael Ray egg holder that I've wanted for a while but just wouldn't spend the money on and the stretchy lids that we saw at the craft show this christmas but I was to cheap to buy! I can alway count on Mar to give me a gift card to Hobby Lobby and Kristen got me a fancy new cover for my camera strap but it didn't make it here on time so I will post a picture later. :)
Kristen just brought over my birthday gift and I love it!!!!

Happy New Year!

Josh made it back to VA safely today so it's back to real life for us. I don't usually make new years resolutions but I thought I would give it a try this year and I thought maybe if I wrote them down I would actually work harder at it. I guess we'll see at the end of the year :)

1. Go to the Temple once a month.
2. Work more on my family history
3. Be a better mom and even though Jack goes to preschool my goal is to sit down with both of them 15 to 30 min a day and do preschool work with them.

Let's give this a try!! Here's to 2014
