Originally, we were going to leave Alturas and go to Montanna and check out some areas for retirement. The more we thought about that, we realized it just doesn't have a long enough summer for us because we like boating too much. We ended up going back to Paul for a few more days. Jack always looks through the family photo albums while we are there.

Jack's favorite pizza place is Gerrti's because they serve "Candy Pizza." When we went to eat there this time they had closed! Luckily, dad is generous enough to drive us all the way to Twin Falls to get it. :)
It was a great visit with trips to the river on uncle Callin's boat!

On the road again!!!
We left Idaho Aug. 15 and headed to Yellowstone National Park.
The boys loved being able to ride in the back of the truck in these western states. I have to admit, I loved it too the day I had a bad headache and slept back there a few hours.
We entered on the West side of the park through Montanna.
We were able to get dirt from two sates in Yellowstone!
Since we weren't too far from Uncle Jeramy's house in Wyoming we decided to go there for the night. It was nice getting to visit with Robyn and the kids. Jeramy was away working. The kids stayed up until
1 a.m. watching youtube and playing games and they thought that was the coolest thing ever! lol
All the cousins weren't there but we enjoyed the time we had with these guys.

The next day we made it to South Dakota
Mount Rushmore was next on our list.
At the bottom of the hill of Mount Rushmore is the coolest little country feeling town. I've been here 3 times, but I just love walking around down here. The things they hand carve out of wood is amazing!
Of course, the boys built a fort in our hotel room. LOL
The next day we just drove across Nebraska. Sakoya just had her first baby, and they are living in Omaha so Marshall can go to dentist school. We stopped and stayed the night with them and I loved all the snuggles I got from Brynlee!

The next day we drove across Iowa and stopped at a couple little cool places. One of them was this old army fort.
We continued driving until we got to Navoo Illinois. I have always wanted to go because there is so much Church history that took place there.
We got to do some cool stuff like, ride in a cart pulled by oxen to see how slow they are. I can't imagine taking one from here to Salt Lake City.

We visited old houses, stores, saw where they make wheels and carts. Jack and Kaleb helped make a brick that they got to bring home.
We then drove to Liberty Jail in and saw where Joesph Smith and his brother were held prisoner and was eventually shot and killed.
From there we drove a few more hours and got a hotel in Indianna
We drove through Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland.
After 31 days, 6,276 miles, and a ton of priceless memories, we were
HOME!!!!
