November 2022

11-3

Happy 13th Birthday Jack! I can't believe I have a teenager. He's been asking for a full suspension mountain bike so Josh thought it would be funny to get him a toy one.  I don't think Jack thought it was funny.
We celebrated with Kip and Izzy at Zavazone. It's awesome that they are homeschooling too so we can do stuff together during the week!
Texas Donuts!
3-4
I got tickets to Brickfest in Richmond and told him he could pick something out there for his birthday.  We spent the whole day there building and playing with Lego!
Jack wanted to show this to Mr. Joe haha
They thought this was cool since we're studying Ancient History
Happy Birthday!
That night we went to the Meckley's and had dessert with the friends.  🙂
3-5
We went on the houseboat with the Meckley's and Beauregard's to eat at Harbor Grill and they had a band! I love when there is a live band.
11-10
This boy is the one who has given me a run for my money since day he was born! He's so much like me that we butt heads almost daily and sometimes I forget what a sweet boy he really is. Last night he broke his wrist during practice and he was so brave. As his hand was dangling and he didn't shed one tear.
I had taken him to the closest ER but after they did the Xray they told me we had to go to the Children's hospital.  Once we got there they told us they had to try and reset it. Right before they put him to sleep he looked up at me and told me he was scared and it broke my heart. They were able to set it manually but we would need to see a surgeon in the next 48 hurs to make sure he didn't need pins. After they brought me back to his room all the nurses and doctors kept telling me what a sweet, polite, and tough boy he is.
The surgeon took an Xray and compared it to the one from before it was set and couldn't believe how good that Dr at the children's hospital manually set it. He told us as long as it doesn't move in the next week he will transition from the splint to a cast, if it does move they will place temporary pins.
Before setting it.
He's going to take it easy for the next week, which also means sleeping with mommy! 💙
11-12
One of the only things we like about Josh being deployed around the holidays is, we can decorate super early!
It was Kaleb's year to put the star on.
We went to WV for Thanksgiving.  Danni's birthday is in Dec and since we won't be here we took her gifts to her early.
Thanksgiving at Mamaw's
11-27
Back to school.  Making a Sundial
11-29
We got the new Lego Christmas Village set and I'm the only one excited to build it.  So much for new traditions.
11-30
Kaleb had to be in the sling a little longer than originally planned because the Dr was afraid the bones would move while he was putting the cast on.  He finally got his cast today!
