Daddy Comes Home!!

Josh came home from Iraq on Sept 2, 2015 This was the first time that we have been able to welcome him home so we made signs and the boys were so excited!

Jack made sure we had a Mt. Dew for Josh when we got off the plane. That was the only thing he requested. haha

When we were walking out of the airport Jack stopped at the payphones and was like "What are those mom?" They were looking at them like they were aliens LOL

After spending a few hours at home of course Josh wanted to get out on the river so we went to Justin's and helped him finish painting Alex's room so we could go out.
After watching his daddy on the wake board Jack wanted to try it. He did really good and even got up for about 5 seconds.

I love Josh's face in these pictures. He was so proud of Jack.

After watching his daddy on the the wake board Kaleb rode the boat like this the rest of the day. He kept looking at me with a, look at me mom are you proud of me look, on his face so of course I had to tell him what a good job he was doing.

Jack wanted to do everything his Daddy was doing so they rode the tube together

It wasn't very long and he kicked dad off! He did so good!

Of course Josh and Justin had to have a ride together! After that fun was over we headed down to the beach spot that everyone from our neighborhood hangs out with and swam and just hung out. We really got lucky moving into this neighborhood. We love our neighbors!
Noah had this kids kayak and Jack really enjoyed riding in it.
 All the neighborhood kids :)

Mr. Cool, on the ride home!
This was a different day on the river. We went down to Stafford and had lunch and played on this beach.
Kaleb was so tired that he went in the front of the boat and went to sleep. We had a bumpy ride home and this was the result. He slept through it all and when he woke up he said "Mom my lip feels fat and I don't like it."

Summer Fun 2015!!

One of the things I was excited about when we moved here was that there is a waterpark 2 miles away. I thought we would be there all the time but we ended up only going twice. It was still fun though. Pirates Cove

They also have this big slide but you had to be 42 inches to get on it and my little shorty wasn't tall enough :( Maybe next year.

The 4th of July was great! First Steph, Joe and the girls and My boys and I went to Liv and Justin's for a cookout then out on the boat where we got caught in a huge rainstorm!

We thought our day was ruined but it ended up clearing up and we went back out with Liv and Justin and met up with Joe and Steph, tied up and watched awesome fireworks from the river :)
Jack, Alex, Kaleb, and Jacob

Jack, Kaleb, Sophie, Alex, and Emily

Josh and I have always wanted to find something that we enjoy doing together that is away from the house and I knew how much he liked diving so I thought I would give it a shot and we could get certified together, but first I had to make sure I wouldn't freak out in the suit so I took this class to surprise him. I actually really enjoyed it! Now we just have to find the time to get qualified.

I saw this on the yard sale site and had to get it. The boys love helping me in the yard

Our neighborhood is great and every evening all the little kids come out to play then the boys would want to go for a bike ride so I would let them but I was always running behind so I got me a bike :)
One day the boys were laughing so hard upstairs and playing so well together I knew something had to be up haha Sure enough they had emptied the little white balls out of the pillows to make snow in Thomas Land

We made a countdown chart for daddy to come home from Iraq
And yes it was mid summer but we found these halloween costumes and I had to get them because I knew if I waited they would sell out. They loved them and still play in them.

I'm sure this was the sisters first time teaching the paw patrol lol
Kayla turned 16 this year and for her birthday she asked her mom to bring her and some friends to Kings Dominion. Of course I was happy cause that meant they would come stay with me. We had a really good visit. Kings Dominion was a blast. I had no idea that the boys would like the rides that much. I think we will do season passes next year.
Rachael, Kayla, Kelly, Destiny, Shayna, Kaleb, and Jack

I couldn't believe Jack got on this by himself.

While Kelly was here she helped me decorate a little and this is one of the walls she did. I love it!
Missy called me and told me they were giving tickets away for a Potomac Nationals baseball game so we all went and got tickets. I have always loved baseball so it was fun taking the boys to their first game.

Of course while daddy is away we have trips to the ER. Kaleb had his first ear infection and woke up at midnight screaming so I had to wake Jack up and go.
