Happy 2nd Birthday Kaleb!!

I can't believe my baby is already two!! First thing this morning we gave him this activity board that Josh and I made yesterday. It is a huge hit.

Next we went out to the garage for the BIG surprise.

Do you think Jack is excited???
Then later today we had a few of our close friends over for some pizza and cake. We have the best friends ever and they always spoil us on our birthdays :)

Our little getaway to Denver

Josh and I had the chance to leave the kids with my mom and go to Denver for the day and night! It was so nice to just be together and explore the city without the kids. This is the first time we have ever did this so naturally I called and checked on the A LOT haha

The hotel was so nice

We had never been to the Cheesecake Factory before so that's where we had dinner and it was delicious. We were to full to enjoy our cheesecake there so we brought it back to the room.

Happy Easter

The Easter Bunny visited us Saturday morning and left the boys treats in their baskets and hid more eggs.

And....he's off

They love their new bubble toys
Yes, Kaleb will let Jack do anything to him

Easter Egg Hunt at the Church

Some of the ladies we go to church with organized a great egg hunt the friday before Easter. This was the first one my boys have ever been too. They were so excited

Getting ready to go

Having a little snack after the hunt
                                                           Checking out their eggs

Catch Up Time

This is Kaleb's new favorite way to watch tv. I think he has the balance thing under control.
Before Josh left for NC he bought the boys a new toy. I think he likes it better than they do :)
One day while I was doing my hair Jack did a magic show for me and of course he couldn't do it without his magic hat

                                                              Walmart made easy

We got the boys a kitchen so they can cook while I cook and it keeps them out of my way. They both love it and it keeps them busy for hours.
My very unexpected flowers from Josh :) He even had them delivered!!
The other night I came down stairs from folding clothes and found this. I asked Jack why there was dirt on my coffee table and He said "But mom I had to but the rocks down to slow the red car from falling off the cliff"

I walked in my bedroom the other day and found Jack sitting on my laundry basket and asked him why then I heard Kaleb inside laughing.

Happy Valentines Day 2013

Today was finally the day that Jack got to use his valentine box! I'm so glad it actually survived because he has been playing with it everyday :) His preschool party was fun they had pizza, decorated cookies, and sang songs. He really likes going to school. This was such a fun Valentines Day. I know it's supposed to be a day for romance but since I've had kids everything becomes about them and I just wanted them to have a fun day so we made heart shaped pizza's and Jack helped me top them. He thought it was really cool.
I love how much Kaleb is laughing these days and how happy he is.

Our Hospital Stay

The surgery went really good but Kaleb was not a happy camper afterwards. He wasn't allowed to eat anything the first day which didn't bother him because he felt so crummy but the next day he was HUNGRY and he could only drink 2oz of liquid every 4 hrs. He was not happy about that at all. Jack and Josh came to visit us and brought lunch and Kaleb walked up to him and took his chicken tender out of his hand and I had to grab it before he ate it. We got out a day early though because he was drinking fine and had been off the IV for 24 hrs and was staying hydrated. Getting home always makes it better. He was playing like normal but was still wanting food. He had to be on a liquid diet for a week, which they didn't tell me about before the surgery. He would just stand at the pantry and cry and on Sat after Jack had lunch I went to get the broom and before I even got back Kaleb was under the table eating the crumbs :( He was cleared Monday by the surgeon to start eating but he said to take it slow and make sure he has very small pieces.

I always just thought Kaleb was a serious little boy because he never really laughed. I mean he smiles all the time but to laugh at something was just something he never did....until Sunday. Jack was playing and did something silly and Kaleb just laughed and laughed and I saw a look on his face and in his eyes that I had never seen before, which broke my heart because he is almost 2.  Now anything he sees he just cracks up at. It's so cute. I feel like I have a 4 month old that just started laughing cause every time I hear him I just look and watch him :) It is so good to see him so happy I just hate that it's taken him so long but I guess when you're in pain all the time it's hard to be happy. I'm just so thankful we decided to to the surgery and kinda wish we would have decided to do it earlier but at least it's all working out now.

This is one cool biker dude!!!

Jack's first Valentine Box

I got an email last week from Jack's preschool teacher about his valentines party and she said she was making the parents responsible for their valentine boxes. I thought Great I have no idea what to do. So I started asking him what he wanted to make and showing him ideas and he didn't like any of it. He didn't want a valentine box...until I was on pinterest looking at all the ideas and I hear him pipe up from behind me "the firetruck one, the firetruck one," Of course I couldn't tell him no so today we made this. He helped paint the box red and helped me glue everything on but I did the cutting :)

He reminds me so much of Josh in the picture :)

Fundoplasty

Tomorrow is the day! The Doctors and Us have decided that it is time to do the operation that will fix his reflux. I'm so nervous cause it's a three hour surgery but excited that my baby will finally live a day without being in pain. He is getting so big but is still so little at the same time. I guess I should say his personality is getting big. He is also a monkey and today while climbing he fell right on his head so I'm sure it will look awesome by the time we go to the hospital in the morning haha
