Grandma and Grandpa come!

After we moved in we found this rotten floor in our bedroom. The previous owners had it covered with a rug so Josh didn't see it initially.  That was one of the first things they did.

Then they headed outside. They cut down so many trees and bushes. We took seven loads taller than josh's truck to the dump that week. Here are some of the pics before they came

After

While the boys were working outside Sandy and I were painting inside. I'm so glad she came because she is so good at cutting in and doing the hard work so all I had to do was roll walls.
Our half bath in the living room was peach. Even the ceiling was peach. I would glow when you turned the light on so that was our first project.

It turned out so pretty :)
Next we moved on to our bedroom. It was a peach color too but a softer peach. I don't know why but they painted their ceilings to match their walls so we had to paint the ceiling in here too. We don't like the floors in here because they left the wood in the original part but carpeted the new addition. One day I want to carpet the whole room.  It is nice that it's a huge room because I'm going to make the old part my sewing room :)
I spent a ton on samples but I wanted it to be perfect.
Then one morning I woke up and told Josh I wanted to do something spunky in there and paint the walls grey with one wall coral. I know he thought I was crazy but he said ok.  It looks a lot better in person.
What did we do before Pinterest??? Josh saw this one pin on how to update hardware and we tried it.
It looks awesome!

Brothers

While unpacking they found Josh's sports cup and tested it out. I'm so glad it never slipped!

Family Vacation!!!

Josh finally got a three day weekend so we headed to VA Beach! The morning before Kaleb had been acting sick and I had found some tics on him the last few days so I took him in and she said he was fine but tested him for STREP because his throat was red but called and said it was negative so we went on.  The next day he lost his voice. It was so funny. He would say "I just don't know why I sound like this" lol He still played and loved the beach! Both boys did. The second day Dr. Wyman called and said that they had sent his sample for a culture and it came back positive for strep so she called him in medicine and we started it.  He was a champ. For a kid with strep he was great and enjoyed himself best he could. That night we were laying in bed and heard booms and looked outside and they were letting fireworks off right in front of our hotel! I love fireworks :) It was so nice to get away for a few days and no work on the house
This little girl at the pool was trying to talk to Kaleb but he thought she wanted his gold fish so he got them and guarded them and wouldn't look at her lol
He also has started this pointing with his whole hand.

Kaleb also started this funny thing on the trip. When you give him a thumbs up he gives you one back with his pointer finger lol

Daddy Turns 30!!!!!

We started the day out making brownies because daddy likes them better than cake.
 Then we made birthday cards.

 Kaleb's card

 Jack's Card

We had the sign up when he got in from worked and surprised him!

Daddy Gets Home

Popcorn time with Daddy!
One of the things we didn't like about the house was all the trees. I didn't like that you couldn't even see our house from the road.  Those bushes got in my way and I hit them every time I pulled in or out of the driveway.  The big trees dropped little flowers that stained the cars. I just wanted them gone! So we started the Redneck Way :)

I couldn't believe what a difference just taking out that one tree made.

Sept 2014

Here is our great find from Craigslist!!! We got this play house for $200!!! The boys love it and it is so nice to have a big back yard where they can go out and play.

the first month in the house was busy but lonely. I was ready to have our family together again but Josh hadn't had any time off since we got here. The boys and I would get out of the house some days and just got hang out places. One day at Ikea Jack found this chair and was so excited cause it was orange, his favorite color.
The boys had never seen these big buggies at Walmart before and were so excited about them. Jack said "Look mom I can kick my feet up and relax" LOL

Kaleb liked it too. He started climbing everything this summer. If you tell him something is to high he looks at you and says "no it isn't, I can climb anything" :)
