Oct 2016

Kelly loaned me her Cricut so I thought I would try to make this sign that I saw on Pinterest. I thought it turned out pretty good. It's supposed to be a two sided one that says Joy on the other side so you just turn it around for Christmas but I haven't gotten that far yet. Someday....
Jack played soccer this year. He is really enjoying it. He has decided he is good at defense and doesn't get upset anymore that he doesn't get the ball all the time.  He did score a few goals this year but told me he likes protecting the net better so the other team doesn't score.

This is how Kaleb prefers to watch Jack's games. In his defense it was really windy that day ;)
Shelby and I took the kids to Kings Dominion Halloween Fest this year for the first time. It was really fun. There was this ride called Boo Buster and you rode a cart through a haunted house shooting things to get a high score. Kaleb and Kenny went in one car, then Jack and Alexa, then Shelby and I got in the last one. We killed all kinds of stuff and really enjoyed the ride. When we got to the end we found Jack and Alexa crying cause they were so scared. Whoops, I guess we should have rode with our kids LOL

Fun at the bus stop. Jack loves wearing his Darth Vader hoodie on the bus cause Mr. Tom, the driver, pretends to be scared everyday!
Kaleb loves his new boots Kenny gave him
Kaleb and Kenny are really missing each other now that Kaleb goes to school too. They were used to hanging out all the time while the big kids were in school all day. We try and have play dates after school but with soccer and stuff we've been so busy.

The school year is starting out Great! Kaleb is loving it and so is Jack.
Trick or Treating in Harbor View is always a blast! Mr. Joe got a trailer this summer for his 4 wheeler which is coming in real handy around here :)

Sept 2016

Josh deployed on Sept 1st to Iraq which meant he missed the first day of school. That's all that really went on in Sept. Kaleb started Kindergarten and has Miss Hogan. I'm so glad because it made going to school so much easier for him! He is still really shy but was ok because he was used to going in there with me last year when I would volunteer for Jack. I was so nervous he would cry the first day but he did great! Jack's teacher is Mrs. Opie. He is so excited to start first grade!

Mamaw was here for the first day of school.  She isn't a morning person LOL

The boys are still loving "The Pit" where the hot tub used to be. This is the first thing they do when they get home from school everyday.

The day Josh left we went over to Shelby's to play and Jack came out in this and said "Look mom, I'm special forces like Dad!"

Philadelphia Temple

We stopped in Philadelphia on the way home at the open house for the Philadelphia temple. It was the first time the boys have ever been inside a temple. I really loved this temple because they included the history of the city in it's architecture. It's a beautiful temple!

Of course the boys loved watching the video of the construction :)

Thomas Land!!

Thomas Land was so much fun!!! Josh and I liked it because it wasn't crowded ;) The boys loved everything about it. We rode all the rides multiple times. It was a great day!
