April 2018

Missy and Scott invited us to go to Baltimore and watch Marvel Live. This was the boy's first time to a live show and we had a great time!

I lost my mind and decided to sort the legos by size. We'll see how long it lasts.

Kaleb turned 7 this month. Sis and Devan came from West Virginia and stayed a week. We went to Glory Days for his birthday dinner.

We had his birthday party in the back yard on April 21. Kaleb has been refusing to cut his hair which is driving me crazy! He's also been begging me to slick it back for him so I finally did it for his birthday party. He said he looked like Mr. Joe LOL

Jack finally earned enough money to get to go to build a bear so we welcomed Husk to the family!

I found out this last month that the library brings in dogs once a month for the kids to read to so we went and did that this month.

March 2018

Now that were know that we are getting a puppy The boys have been playing with every one they can get their hands on. Once kaleb met Poppy, our friend's dog, he decided he wanted a "Purse Dog" LOL sorry kid, no purse dogs in this house.

We got an email from our breeder letting us know we are on the list for Sedona and Tuck's litter. She was supposed to go into heat this month but didn't so now it's a waiting game. We had a good Easter. We just stayed home.

Jack finally got to participate in the pinewood derby that Uncle Mello helped him build his car for. He was so excited and did really well! He won several of his races and had a blast!

Feb 2018

After years of begging and begging and months of researching we have decided to get a dog😩 I knew this day would come but I am not ready. Josh told me before he left on this deployment that he thought it was time and I had 5 months to get used to it lol. We started look for a Weimararner because Josh has always liked them but eventually decided they got too big so we started looking at the German Shorthaired Pointer and they seemed to be a good fit. Everything I read said they were really hyper and that worried me but of all the other ones we looked at I felt the best about this kind. I finally started calling breeders trying to see when we could get one and when I was describing what we were looking for in a dog he said it sounded like a Vizsla would be perfect for us. We had never heard of this breed so I started the research again and called several breeders then found one I really liked. She called me and we talked for 2 hrs about their temperament, lifestyle, etc. Then she basically interviewed me because she said they want to make sure they sell to people who will care for the dogs properly. This really surprised me but also made me feel great about deciding to go with them. Once she approved our application she put us on a list. The mom was supposed to go in heat in March which meant we could bring him home in July which was perfect because Josh would be home and we wanted to get him on the boat ASAP so he could get familiar at a young age. After the interview and everything I found out the breeder was in West Virginia so I knew it was a right fit. :)

The rest of Feb was pretty boring. We had basketball and that was all. Jack had a great season and scored his first and only shot of the season in his last game. He was so excited and I was sooo happy for him!

Jan 2018

The first thing on the list to do this year was take Kaleb to build a bear so he could spend the money he had been saving. This was his first ever trip and he loved it. It was so cute seeing him take his time picking out the right animal then bringing him to life. Fluffy is now a member of our family 😁

I turned 35 this year and Carrie was so sweet and sent me a cake in the mail since Josh was deployed!
I know I said in last years post on home improvements that we took the closet walls out of the master closet that we were making into the hobby room but I was wrong. Josh deployed before we got to that point so it became the lego room for a while. The boys have really started playing with Legos A LOT! They are so creative with them and will play for hours!

The Saturday after my birthday some girls from church took me to dinner and brought me my favorite white cake with buttercream frosting from Wegsman's!
I was working in the boys room the other day and organized their stuffs and oh my Kaleb has soooo many! Jack has a lot too but Kaleb will not part with any of them!

Jack decided he wanted to play Basketball this year so we signed him up on post. He ended up getting the same coach he had in tee ball when he played for the Rockies. He was an ok coach for tee ball but He is AMAZING at basketball and taught Jack so much while building his confidence. Jack learned that he is a really good defensive player and could block a lot of the kids. He is still Jack though and the first game Coach Jeff told him his spot was to the right of the basket and that's where he stayed the whole season lol He would run from side to side and get in that same spot. I finally told the coach that he is very literal and if he wanted him to move to other places he had to tell him.
