June 2018

June was a very busy month for us! Our niece Maddy graduated high school in Idaho and decided to come and visit us for a month. When she got here the first thing we did was go get pedicures :)

Josh was home and able to go to Donuts with Dads at the school to celebrate Father's Day

Josh's unit always has "Man Camp" in June but Josh has never been home for it so we were so excited when he could take the boys this year. It's a weekend in West Virginia that the Chaplain puts on. They do all kinds of fun stuff and work on bonding! They were supposed to stay Friday through Sunday but it started raining really bad Sat evening and they didn't want to get flooded in so they came home early.

I planted a garden

And of course we did lots of boating! Last year the boys tried wake boarding some but never really got the hang of getting up. This year Josh was determined to get the boarding. It took some time but by the end of summer they were both getting up with no problem at all!

The boys ran the color run on Fort Belvoir again this year.

I have been so sick of Kaleb's hair so we decided to cut it. I gave him a nice mullet first hehe After I cut it all off he told me I ruined his life and it was too short. 😆😆

The last day of school
We love having friends on our boat, especially this time of year because there is a lot going on. Tim's on the river always does not the 4th of july fireworks so we had the Xidis family out with us.

Mount Vernon had their Fireworks early this year too. We had the Lowe family with us and met up with all of our neighbors and tied up on the Maryland side to watch.

Josh added to the tree house this year so Kaleb has more things to climb :)

Happy 10 years to us!!!

On May 24th we celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary! The day started with Josh taking me to the mall to try and find a dress to wear for a special date he planned for that night. We really enjoyed walking around the mall and spending time together then all of a sudden he said we had to go. I was confused but went along with him. He then took me to a hair salon where he had scheduled to have my hair done! He had even sent them pictures of styles I like so they could be prepared. After that we went to Fredericksburg to the Melting Pot and had a romantic dinner! Shelby got the kids off of the bus so we didn't have to hurry home. he really did think of everything! I have the most amazing husband and Love him so much! It didn't hurt that he gave me a set of sapphires either ;)

May 2018

Josh got home from Bahrain. Once he was home we decided to give Jack his swiss army knife that we got for him in Switzerland when he was 5 months old. We had always said we would give it to him when he started cub scouts but Josh wasn't here for that so we waited until he was home. We also got news this month that Sedona was pregnant. The puppies are due in July which is later than we were hoping but it will all work out.

They went on their first Scout hike the next weekend and he took it with him :)

Of course a few days after daddy got home we took the boat out! They got the first swim on the season and it was cold!!

We went on a family date to a rock climbing gym. It was fun but a little scary for me.

by memorial day it had warmed up and we took the boat a couple hours south and had lunch at Gilligan's in Maryland
