Our first trip of the summer was to West Virginia for Dickie's high school graduation. It's hard to believe that he is 18!
The rest of the trip was spent with lots of swimming with cousins
Paula came to Va to visit her inlaws so the kids and I went down so all the kids could play. They live about an hour south of us but the drive is worth every time they come :) While she was there she was telling me that they were going to the church pageant in Palmyra NY in July. I went to the pageant in 2007 when I was investigating the church but wanted to take my kids and mom. Then Sam called and said she was going to Vermont and Kristen moved back to upstate NY in May so Sam and I decided to meet in LeRoy NY at Kristen's and spend a couple days then I would go on to Palmyra and see the pageant.
As soon as I got to NY I took mom and the boys and dropped them off at the hotel, which had this awesome waterpark inside, and headed out for some much needed girl time!
We missed Annie and Mar, but it was so great to see these two!!!
two days later we went to Palmyra. The first place we stopped was the Smith's farm. I was so excited to share this experience with the boys and my mom.
The Sacred Grove was so beautiful!!
Then we went to The Hill Cumorah. It was pretty cool to be where Joseph Smith found the golden plates.
annnnnnd Kaleb found something to climb!
The pageant didn't start for five more hours so we went back to the hotel to rest and Jack started throwing up! He was so sick so mom stayed back with him and Kaleb and I went to the pageant solo. I was so bummed that mom couldn't go cause she was really looking forward to it. We met up with Paula, Phil, and the kids. It was nice to have an hour or so to just hang out before it started. Kaleb loved it! He started fussing at one so I asked if he was ready and he said yes so we were leaving early then when we got to the exit he started crying and said I want to stay. lol So we went back and sat down and finished. Well, I finished anyway, he fell asleep about twenty min before it ended.
Jack and Lydia were the only two missing from this picture.
He held on to the pamphlet the whole time and next couple of days lol
This was 8 years ago in 2007. Izzy was the only baby we had :)
