Happy Halloween!!!

This morning was the Halloween party at Jack's preschool. They played games and busted a piñata.

Jack was very excited about the piñata because he had never seen one.

Kaleb enjoyed hitting it way to much :)

Tonight we went trick or treating in our neighborhood with The Huzzy's. We sure are going to miss them.
                                                       Jack, Kaleb, Maddie, and Adalie

A Weekend in Wyoming.

Last week we went up to Carrie and Tyson's to have some Halloween fun. First we took my boys to the pumpkin patch, at albertsons, LOL they were so excited to pick pumpkins though.

I guess these two had to much fun!
Then that night we went to the Trunk or Treat party at church. It was a lot of fun. First we had hot dogs
chili, then the kids got to play some games and win prizes, then it was time to go get candy. I was worried Kaleb wouldn't want to trick or treat but he went right at it even saying "trit or treat" :)

The next day we had a little Halloween party at the house. First we had pizza then we decorated balloons.

then the balloon popped and Kaleb was not happy about that!

Next we had a dance party in the living room
Then it was time to carve pumpkins. Aunt Carrie was enjoying torturing Kaleb with pumpkin guts way to much :)

                                                               Happy Halloween 2013

gymnastics

Kaleb is our little monkey and he has been scaling the walls for a while so Josh suggested I find him a gymnastics class. At first I was like ummm I don't know but he LOVES it. He is doing really good too. The teacher was impressed that on the first day he could bring his toes up to the bars :)

Regression

Ok, I'm going to sound like a big baby here but this separation has been harder than any deployment we have ever had. I don't know if it's because I know we chose this or if it's the fact that the kids are getting older or what but it sucks! When we first got home Jack would ask for his daddy all the time and ask why he didn't want to come home and then he wouldn't even talk to him on the phone cause he would say "I don't like daddy anymore cause he won't come home." Talk about heartbreaking, it was really hard on us. So during this adjustment Kaleb took total advantage of me and started taking his binky with him all around the house. He hadn't done this for a year and a half then all of a sudden I couldn't get it out of his mouth!! It is only during idle time. He knows if he goes and plays or we get ready to go somewhere he has to put it away. Another thing that I never used to do was let my kids sleep wherever. I always put them in their beds at nap time but Kaleb has not been napping everyday so on days he is tired I find him like this. It is soooo cute thought :) Things are getting better around here. We are getting adjusted to life without daddy again and I have taken the binky back!!! It has been three days and he still cries for it but it's a little less each day.

Lets get through this year!

Now that we are back to reality and our fun summer is over I'm trying to keep myself and the boys busy. As soon as we got home in August we went up to Carrie and Tyson's in Wyoming for a few days. I love that we live so close that we can do weekend visits. In September I put the boys in a soccer program called soccer buddies. They don't play on teams and have games but they teach them how to play and coordination and make it really fun. Jack has loved it from the start and never even wanted me to go with him but Kaleb had a rough start. At first he wouldn't even walk on the field then it got to he would go out only when he wanted to then I had to be right with him. Now he will go with the class and play with the coach while I stand back on the wall. They both are enjoying it so much now :)

When Josh and I started dating RJ told me that he used to streak through the house naked. I guess Jack is following in his footsteps.

We had a girls dinner and I brought the baby swing up for Carson and Kaleb has been using it ever since.
