HalfWay There!!!!!!

You all know that the beginning of my pregnancy was rough and I lost some weight. Well, I'm here to tell ya, that I have found it! We are amazed how fast my belly has started growing. A couple weeks ago Josh woke up and said "wow, where did that come from" lolol it's like I just popped out over night and it hasn't quit. I have accepted that fact that I'm going to get huge!!!!!! The funny thing is I'm still not eating a lot I'm just getting big. Oh well, it will all be worth it!

NO SHOW!!!!!

Well, this baby is stubborn just like it's parents!!!! As soon as the Doctor put the stick to my belly he sighed and said it is bottom up so it may be hard to see the sex. He tried and tried and he just couldn't get it. I go back in 4 weeks so hopefully it will cooperate a little more. It is growing exactly how it should be I don't think he told me the weight but it is about 7 in long and it's head is 2 inch wide. We saw the brain, the femur, one of the little feet, it was so cute, and the stomach. I tell you what though it is an active little thing! It just moves and swings its arms and legs just not wide open! lolol The heart rate today was 124. I thought that was crazy that in 5 weeks it dropped so much but he said it was normal. I know this pic isn't much different than the last but I thought I would put it up anyway! It is 18 weeks and 2 days.

More Money!!!!

Last week Josh's team sergeant told him he would be going to the promotion board on June 2nd. Well, in order to prepare for the board you need at least a month or so cause you have to memorize a lot of stuff and study a lot. The book is like 3 inches thick. Anyway Josh has been really busy preparing for his upcoming trip to Hungry so he hasn't really had time to study so we really wasn't sure what would happen today, but he got promoted!!! I am so proud of him!

Frankfurt

Yesterday we went up to Frankfurt to the temple! It was so beautiful there. I can't wait to go again!



Frankfurt is 3 hrs away so we had to leave really early so Josh was tired on the way home. I thought he looked so cute sleeping in his new pearl button shirt that he loves that I had to take his picture!

Camping

This weekend we decided to go to Garmisch and camp. We had a great time. It is so beautiful up there this time of year. We went to a couple different lakes but mostly just hung out. It was so nice to be out of the house and I guess the fresh air did me good cause I didn't get sick all this weekend! I am officially 4 months so I hope I am done with the sickness. I have to admit it was really different camping alone. I am used to going with my family and Josh his so at times we would look at each other kinda lost not knowing what to do! lolo Also this was my first camping trip that I had to prepare for so I never realized how much work my mom did before camping! I like it better when all I have to do is show up!





After we got set up our neighbors, which were people we go to church with, asked us if we wanted some steak cause some people gave it to them cause they were leaving so Josh said yes. I thought it was so funny when he started cutting it with his pocket knife!


Sunday was our anniversary so we went to Lake Eibsee and hug out and rented a paddle boat. It was so much fun. I laughed so hard cause after about 5 minutes on the lake I looked at Josh so seriously and asked him if it felt like it got a lot harder to paddle and he looked at me and said "I stopped paddling" lololol I guess my feet were just moving around with the peddles! the lake was really beautiful and it is at the bottom of the Zugspitze which is the highest peak in the Alps in Germany.






On our way home we stopped in Munich at Hard Rock Cafe. I was so excited cause the only thing I have wanted since I have been pregnant is the Nacho's from there. When I lived in Los Angeles I used to eat there all the time. Yum I love them!!! Anyway they were delicious!!!

Update

I have waited my whole life to be pregnant, and let me tell ya, this is not what I imagined!! I have been so sick. I go days and only eat once a day and sometimes don't even keep that down. At my last doctor's appointment my doctor gave me some pills but I can't keep those down either. I just keep praying everyday when I wake up that I will feel better.
So this is the latest ultrasound. It was at 13 weeks. I was glad Josh got to be there because we heard the heart beat for the first time. It was like 172 beats per min. We also saw the spine and the stomach. The doctor said that since the baby's stomach had fluid in it that meant the esophagus was working.

Our Baby!

I had my second Dr. appointment today. He said everything look really good and the baby is exactly the size it should be. I have to admit I was a little surprised. I thought this early in the pregnancy that all I would see was a little spec or something but I saw both arms and both legs and the heart beating. It was really amazing. I think the coolest part though was seeing the baby move. It is REALLY active. It just kept spinning it's arms and kicking it's legs. The doctor kept trying to wait till it was still to take the pic so we could see the arms and legs but it wouldn't stop moving the right side so they are a little blurry. Like I said I just didn't think I would be able to see it move yet so it was really cool!

So Josh has been gone for FIVE weeks now and I'm missing him sooooo much! He is coming home this weekend for 2 days so I wanted to do some things to make this place feel more like home and not just a temporary place. My neighbor's husband is gone also so we have been alternating dinner nights so tonight she came up and I made salmon and we hung pictures. It looks so good in here.
