Happy Birthday Josh!

Yesterday was Josh's birthday but we really didn't get to do anything cause he had to work. We did get to do a web cam chat with some of his family and that was really fun! He wanted this chocolate cake that his dad always makes so I got the recipe and made it. I have to admit I was pretty impressed with myself cause I made it from scratch!
I also made the icing from scratch which i don't think turned out right. I think I needed to let it cool a bit more before I poured it on the cake but oh well. He said it was really good but since I don't really like chocolate I didn't care for it.



Last weekend was the first weekend since we have been married that Josh had a 4 day. It was so nice just spending time together. We have a motocross track just across the street from us and there was a big race this weekend so we decided to walk over and watch it. It was so much fun. I love going to races and once I was there and caught up in the excitement I forgot I was in Germany!

Milk does a body good!

7 weeks ago when I went to the doctor Jack didn't even weigh 2 lbs and the doctor was telling me to eat more. So I decided to start drinking 3 glasses of milk a day and today he weighs over 4 pounds! Oh yeah and he has a huge head and Josh and our doctor thinks it is so funny! Everything else looked good his length is normal and they hooked me to a machine and monitored his heart for 20 min and his heart rate was 150 to 160 beats per minute. The picture he gave us today isn't very good but I'm posting it anyway. It is a straight on view of his face but the only thing I can make out is the one eye. lolol

29 1/2 weeks. I think my belly doubled last week! lolol

A day at the lake!

Yesterday We decided to go to a lake that is an hour away. I wish we would have found it earlier in the year because we had so much fun and the water was perfect! we swam and laid out all day. I'm hoping that the weather stays nice so we can go again. It has rained all summer so it has been nice having a few weeks of sunshine. i just wish I would have thought to put sun screen on cause I got really burnt!



This is our neighbors daughter Madison who we absolutely love! When we first got there Josh was
playing in the sand with her, it was so cute, but then all the little kids started playing with her so he came and laid out with us girls.

26 weeks

Today I went for my 26 week check up and everything looked good. I love going to the doctor over here cause I learn so much about my baby at every one. Today during the ultra sound the doctor was checking the blood flow in the umbilical cord and the blood vessels. I actually saw my baby's blood flowing through the vessels. It was awesome. He looked good. Yes, it is still a he! The doctor said his head is big, I guess he gets that from his daddy, lolol but everything else looked good. He is the right length and his heart beat was 147. He didn't tell me his weight but he didn't comment on it either so i am taking that as a good sign. We didn't think we were going to get a 3d shot of him cause he had his butt to us but then he turned and we got a shot. Those are his hands in front of his chin. I'm not sure what I think of these 3d ultra sounds. Personally I think they are creepy but my doctor loves them and this is the only picture he gave me today.

25 weeks

So Josh has been gone a week but It feels like forever. Usually it's not this hard when he is gone but this time he can't call or email so it is just dragging on. I got board today and took some pics of the belly!!!!! I feel huge even though I know I'm not but I am so uncomfortable these days and I know it is only the beginning!!!! lolol

22 Weeks

When I first got pregnant I told Josh I had a feeling that we were going to have a girl. Then after being so sick and everyone saying oh yeah, you get sick with girls I was certain. At my last appointment my Doctor told me he was 80% sure it was a girl so my friend Stephanie gave me all these girl clothes cause she isn't having anymore kids. I was so excited cause I though I won't have to buy a stitch of clothing until she is like 9 months old!!!! So you can imagine reaction today when we saw this

Actually I was surprised how excited I was to hear that it's a boy. Baby Jack looked good. He isn't a pound yet but almost and the doctor said he is a little small but that is okay.

HalfWay There!!!!!!

You all know that the beginning of my pregnancy was rough and I lost some weight. Well, I'm here to tell ya, that I have found it! We are amazed how fast my belly has started growing. A couple weeks ago Josh woke up and said "wow, where did that come from" lolol it's like I just popped out over night and it hasn't quit. I have accepted that fact that I'm going to get huge!!!!!! The funny thing is I'm still not eating a lot I'm just getting big. Oh well, it will all be worth it!

NO SHOW!!!!!

Well, this baby is stubborn just like it's parents!!!! As soon as the Doctor put the stick to my belly he sighed and said it is bottom up so it may be hard to see the sex. He tried and tried and he just couldn't get it. I go back in 4 weeks so hopefully it will cooperate a little more. It is growing exactly how it should be I don't think he told me the weight but it is about 7 in long and it's head is 2 inch wide. We saw the brain, the femur, one of the little feet, it was so cute, and the stomach. I tell you what though it is an active little thing! It just moves and swings its arms and legs just not wide open! lolol The heart rate today was 124. I thought that was crazy that in 5 weeks it dropped so much but he said it was normal. I know this pic isn't much different than the last but I thought I would put it up anyway! It is 18 weeks and 2 days.

More Money!!!!

Last week Josh's team sergeant told him he would be going to the promotion board on June 2nd. Well, in order to prepare for the board you need at least a month or so cause you have to memorize a lot of stuff and study a lot. The book is like 3 inches thick. Anyway Josh has been really busy preparing for his upcoming trip to Hungry so he hasn't really had time to study so we really wasn't sure what would happen today, but he got promoted!!! I am so proud of him!
