Today I was at the WIC office visiting my friend who works there and we put Jack on the scale and he is now 14lbs and 8oz and 26 1/4 inches long. He is sleeping really well now. He goes to sleep between 7:30 and 8:00 and doesn't get up until 5 or 6am! I rock him to sleep and sometimes he wakes up crying so I go get him and rock until he goes back to sleep and I do that until he doesn't wake up anymore. Well, last night I let him fuss a little then finally went and got him and rocked him to sleep. Tonight I put him down he cried a little I went in put his bink back in and that was it!!!!! I'm so proud of myself for not going and picking him up when he was crying!!!!

This is another picture where I think he looks just like uncle Jeramy!!!

3 Months Old!!!!!

Today while i was taking pictures Jack rolled over from his tummy to his back in both directions!!!! Luckily I already had the camera on him cause once I got the video camera out he wouldn't do it again.

There is a showing running on TV right now called Two weeks in Hell. it is about the selection process for the Green Beret's. It's pretty intense and really makes you respect these men. I know I didn't know how hard it was and all they have to do just to be selected. That's what separates the Green Beret's from the rest of the Army, they don't brag about what they do. Anyway this show is 2 hours long and Jack stayed in his bouncy seat and watched it for an hour and 30 min, then he got hungry. It was so cute. I guess he is already preparing for selection. If you see it on you should watch it. It really is a great show.

I'm not used to all this hair on my husbands face but I have to admit I'm kinda diggin' it! :) He is so proud of his beard because he quit shaving the day Jack was born so it's as old as our son.

Jack must have had a rough night last night, judging from his hair! He was screaming this morning so I thought I would be nice and lay him in the bed with me as soon as I did he peed all up his side!!! That is why the sheets aren't on my bed! I guess i didn't put the diaper on good or something but yeah we had a rough morning!

I haven't had my good camera out in a while so tonight I got it out and I can't believe I have been taking pictures with my little cheap one. I got a little carried away but I'm a proud momma!

I can't believe how much he has grown. We took this picture when he was one week old.

I took these tonight

Who Knew!

I stole this picture off of one of our friends facebook pages. It was taken in the beginning of Dec 2007. I didn't even know Josh really. I had only talked to him a couple times. Who would have known in just 5 short months I would marry that boy to my right!

Making Progress!

Yesterday when we were doing tummy time he had definitely improved

But I was so surprised this morning to see this!

Today we went to the hospital to visit my friend Cheryl who had her little girl yesterday. I thought it was so funny How happy Jack was just laying on the extra bed playing in the plastic. Don't worry I watched to make sure he didn't cover his head with it. He loved it! He played there and didn't make a peep for like 45 min.

Tummy Time

I have been working really hard trying to teach Jack how to raise his head when he is on his tummy. The doctor made me feel like such a bad parent at his last check up cause he didn't do this. She said "oh well, some kids just don't get it" I thought he is only 2 months old!!!! So now I sit in the floor with him and pick his head up and put toys where he can't see them hoping he may try to turn and lift his head but he has no interest. Sometimes he does lift his head and arms a little off the mat like an airplane but never even tries to push up. I took this video today because this is how tummy time goes 98% of the time. He just lays there and licks the mat or his fingers!

2 Month Check-Up

I know I'm a little late posting this but we had his 2 month well baby last monday and he is great! He is 13lbs 8oz and 26 inches long. I thought he was a fat baby but he is only in the 32nd percentile for weight but in the 89th for length and his head was 95%! lolol. He also got his first shots. I was so scared but he did so well. He barely even cried. The only thing is he got really clingy and that lasted 5 days!!!! No one warned me about this! He is all better now. I'm not sure if everyone knows but Jack as bowel problems. The soy formula has solved the colic but it makes him constipated so i have to take a suppository to him sometimes to help him poo. Anyway I think I may have solved that! When I got up at 3am for his bottle Monday, well, first I have to tell you I stir his bottles not shake them because of all the bubbles shaking it makes, so when i saw his spoon I thought it looked kinda funny. The left over formula from the last bottle was kinda thick. So I just threw it in the sink and got a new spoon. While I was feeding him I remember the cheeseburger I made after church Sunday! I guess when I took the lid off the pan to flip it grease was splashing on the spoon. I used that spoon for two bottles after that. When I realized what I had done I was about to freak out. I could see me trying to explain to a german doctor why there was grease in my baby's bottle!!! He never cried the first time because of his belly and he has slept great and let me tell you, the poo is rolling! He had two great bowel movements yesterday and two explosive ones today! I didn't do this on purpose but I think it was a blessing! :) My best friend Carrie told me that if Jack lives until Josh gets home we have to change his name to Lucky!

First Snow

It has been snowing here for about three weeks but it always melts by noon. Well, today it decided to stick! I guess we are getting a huge storm, one so big they named it! Daisy is supposed to blow through until Tuesday. We decided Jack needed to go out and play in the snow! I'm sure he didn't know what was going on but he didn't cry once so that is always good!
