So Sweet

This is one of my favorite times of the day. Mainly because it's one of the few times he's not screaming but also cause I love how he holds his hands when I'm feeding him :)

Jack's choice in foods are so hit and miss but last week I gave him strawberries and he loved them. I was so excited by this cause every time I had given them to him before he wouldn't eat them. Well, that didn't last long, cause a few days later I gave him some more in a bowl and when I came back to the living room this is what I saw. I thought it was so funny but I was very disappointed that he wouldn't eat them. The red mark on his cheek is from me trying to shove one in his mouth LOL

Jack is growing up so fast! He is looking more and more like a big boy everyday.

Kaleb started smiling last week but I haven't been able to get a picture till today :) the zantac is giving him some relief so it is so good to see him calm sometimes now.

I can't believe Kaleb is already a month old. He had a check up on Monday and other than the reflux everything looks great. She even commented on how strong he is. He was 8 lbs 4oz (37%) and 21.8 inches long (98%) When we went in for his one week check up he was 7lbs 4oz and 20.8 inches so he is definitely growing!!

I'm surprised at how good he is already holding his head up.

When he has a tummy ache the only way I get him calmed down is to hold him completely vertical. I think it's so sweet how he holds on to the collar of my shirt.

I was so nervous before I had Kaleb that Jack would be jealous but I'm so lucky cause Jack really is the best kid in the world :) He hasn't been jealous one time and he tries to be a big helper. Any time Kaleb cries and mom or I don't run right over to him Jack looks at us like "what are you waiting for??" ha ha Also I think I may be drugging Kaleb to much cause Jack automatically brings me the gas drops when Kaleb cries. LOL Jack Loves his baby brother!!

He is growing up so fast and this week he has been going in his room and shutting the door and just playing and then he will knock when he wants out. ha ha He almost shut my arm in the door when I was reaching in to take this pic.

Kaleb's Blessing

I'm so thankful that Josh was able to be home long enough to bless Kaleb. I'm also thankful that my mom and Annie were able to be there for our special day

Jack is such a great big brother!! I was so afraid that he would be jealous or hate Kaleb but he is doing so good. I think it's so cute cause when Kaleb is in the swing every once in a while Jack will run up to it and push it and then just go back to playing with his toys. Also if Jack is in his room and Kaleb whines or makes any noise Jack comes running and looks to make sure everything is okay. Sometimes he laughs when Kaleb cries haha He is getting more curious and wanting to touch him more but so far he loves his little brother





Jay, one of the guys on Josh's team, bought Jack one of those backpacks that has a leash on it. At first he didn't really like it but Josh took him to work with him the other day on it and he said he did really good. It didn't bother him at all

Jack loves playing with Madison's doll house van so she let him bring it home a few weeks ago and I think it's his favorite toy haha It cracks me up how he puts his mini cars in there and pushes them around.

I also think it's funny that it has built in baby seats and he sets his trucks in there

Kaleb

So I'm a little behind on this one but the pics are to cute to skip over them :)


We love when Daddy is home cause we get out and play a lot more. Jack is so tired after going to the playgrounds that he always rests on Josh's head.


Josh and I were sitting on the couch one day and Jack was playing in his room and then he started saying Uh ohhhh so I got up and went in there and this is what I found. haha he had climbed in his play box and couldn't get out.

It's taken a few months but Jack loves playing in his tent that Grandma Sandy got him for Christmas. The only problem is he doesn't really get in it to play he throws it all over his room :)

Kaleb Matthew Jones

Kaleb was born April 20 2011 at 8:39am. I have to say that this scheduled c-section was great! I got to get up that morning and take a shower!! I was super nervous though. When they were doing the spinal I couldn't stop shaking, partly because the operating room was sooo cold. As soon as the surgery began my blood pressure bottomed out and Josh said I turned completely white and I told the Dr. I was nauseous, well he didn't know what nauseous meant so Josh made the gesture of me throwing up and right about then I started puking. They gave me medicine in my IV and I was fine. The rest of the surgery was great. The anesthesiologist was worried about me though and he was fantastic. He sit right beside me the whole time and rubbed my shoulders and kept talking to me trying to keep my mind off of the surgery cause I had told him before that I was a little scared. Yes Josh was on the other side but he was to busy standing up talking to the surgeon and looking at my organs on the outside of my body. The surgeon was telling Josh what each organ was and then he asked him if he was a paramedic and Josh said "No, I blow stuff up" so then they talked about explosives the rest of the time. LOL Kaleb came out perfect and even though I threw up a few more times after surgery I still say it all went great. The recovery is coming along well. I will say it hurts a lot LOL Everyone kept telling me that your second c-section isn't half as bad as the first but I'm here to tell you it is. I guess I just don't recover as quickly as some people but I think I'm getting around pretty good. Josh made my day the other day cause he told me he has decided to stay an extra week to make sure I heal properly and don't have to jump into the single mom of two kids right away! He is the best :) I'm so lucky to have him and my mom here. She has been a blessing. I was worried about being away from Jack for 5 days and how he would be with her but he was great. Honestly I don't even think he noticed I was gone. haha It is so nice waking up to clean bottles and a clean kitchen everyday! She is spoiling me so much I'm going to be lost when she goes home.

Annie had come over that morning and stayed with Jack so my mom could go to the hospital with us and when she brought him to meet Kaleb it was horrible. He wouldn't even look at me. I reach up to give him a high five and he wouldn't even touch me. He even jerked his hand away from me. I was so sad. Then Kaleb started crying, then Jack, then I started crying. It's kinda funny now but I was so sad.

After Josh put him down he ran to the door and stood there for like 10 min. It was so sad.

The second day went much better.

Baby shower for baby #2

I know I've said it before but I really do have the best friends here! Annie and Sam threw me a baby shower and it was so much fun. It was great to hang out with all the great friends I have here. I got A LOT of diapers and wipes which is what I asked for and a lot of cute clothes. Sam and Annie got me a personalized diaper bag, wipe container, diaper wristlet, and changing pad. Of course they didn't make it here but I'm so excited to see them when they do! Annie also made me an adorable baby quilt!

Some of the girls had already left but at least I did get one of almost everybody :)

My friend Meredith even brought Jack a gift. She is so sweet!

Yesterday was the first time I let Jack go out on the balcony and play and he loved it! Hurray for warm weather :)
